Clients will receive enough non – perishable food items to last 3 to 4 days and the staff will assist individuals and families on a one – to – one basis with support and referrals to other agencies. All families are given the opportunity to work with staff to improve their individual barriers in overcoming their financial difficulties.

        The Emergency Housing Program assists individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless to obtain and maintain affordable permanent housing.

        The Emergency Utility program assists with people who are in threat of being disconnected for heat, water or gas utilities. This program is for only Niagara Falls residents that are living below the poverty line.

        The Participation Program promotes self reliance and the development of necessary skills for independence. The program offers alternatives to reduce food costs and builds self – esteem through the members involvement in life skill classes and their contribution to the community. Participation members contribute a minimum of three hours per month assisting Project S.H.A.R.E. with clerical duties, stocking shelves, packing groceries or other life skill activities.

Savoury Samplings – Sponsored by Healthy Living Niagara and the Zonta Club of Niagara Falls, on every 2nd and 3rd Monday of the month, volunteers prepare nutritious meals that would be affordable for those living on a fixed income.
